Melanie has worked in development in the Houston area for over 15 years. She holds a Master’s degree in Urban & Regional Planning and is a certified Planner. She has ten years of experience in local government, first as a Senior Planner for the City of Houston and then The Woodlands Township.
Prior to coming to Rooted Development Melanie worked for a large, national home builder as the Director of Forward Planning where she worked with acquisitions, feasibility analysis and due diligence and development. Melanie’s previous government experience gives her a unique understanding of development code and regulation requirements. Her main emphasis in the company is land acquisition and all related due diligence activities, including financial feasibility.
